This rewarding hike takes you up the 911-metre-high summit of Mount Muroran and back down in a loop. Along the way you will be greeted by gorgeous views of the industrial city of Muroran and the Pacific Ocean and a clear day you will be able to see Mount Yotei, which has a striking resemblance to Mount Fuji.

Itinerary

Meet at adex base 15 minutes beforehand to check gear and to complete formalities.
Trailhead
Take free shuttle bus to the trailhead. (approx. 60 minutes)
Mount Muroran summit
Hike up to the summit. (approx. 60 minutes)
Break
Have a break at the summit. (approx. 30 minutes)
Carpark
Continue hiking back down to the start point enjoying beautiful views of Muroran along the way. (approx. 90 minutes)

Take free shuttle bus back to adex base. (approx. 60 minutes)

What do I need to bring?
Participants should bring a small backpack so they can carry their own water, snacks etc. A camera is a good idea as there are many great views along the way (weather dependent) and if it is sunny, a hat, sunglasses and suncream are advised.

This activity requires a moderate level of fitness and participants need to be able to walk 6.5km over undulating terrain. Appropriate footwear and clothing are needed, and water and snacks are advised.
Rain gear may be available for loan upon request.

Cancellation Policy
If the tour is canceled due to bad weather on the day (heavy rain, strong winds, typhoons, heavy snow, etc.), we will refund 50% of the published price of the activity tour.
We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 1 day or less before the event. 70% if booking is cancelled 2 days, 50% if booking is cancelled 7 days and10% if booking is cancelled 14 days or less before the event.
