This snowshoe tour takes you up the 911-metre-high summit of Mount Muroran through beautiful birch forests. Along the way you will be greeted by gorgeous views of the industrial city of Muroran and the Pacific Ocean and a clear day you will be able to see Mount Yotei, which has a striking resemblance to Mount Fuji.

Itinerary
Meet at adex base 15 minutes beforehand to check gear and to complete formalities. If you find that you are missing any gear, you can purchase it at our shop (adex base) before the tour begins.
Trailhead
Drive to the trailhead. (approx. 60 minutes)
Mount Muroran summit
Snowshoe up to the summit. (approx. 120 minutes)
Break
Have a break at the summit or in a suitable spot. (approx. 30 minutes)
Carpark
Snowshoe back down to the start point (approx. 90 minutes)
adex base
Take free shuttle bus back to adex base. (approx. 60 minutes)

What do I need to bring?
Participants should bring a small backpack so they can carry their own water, snacks etc. A camera is a good idea as there are many great views along the way (weather dependent) and if it is sunny, a hat, sunglasses and suncream are advised.

This activity requires a moderate/high level of fitness and participants need to be able to walk 6.5km over undulating terrain. There are some steep areas which can be icy and narrow. Appropriate footwear and clothing are needed, and water and snacks are advised. Bottom areas of the mountain may have little snow, but the summit is still a winter mountain, so please be prepared,

Cancellation Policy
If the tour is canceled due to bad weather on the day (heavy rain, strong winds, typhoons, heavy snow, etc.), we will refund 50% of the published price of the activity tour.
We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 1 day or less before the event. 70% if booking is cancelled 2 days, 50% if booking is cancelled 7 days and10% if booking is cancelled 14 days or less before the event.
