Oyunuma and Okunoyu are located in the Noboribetsu volcanic area which is connected to Hell Valley. This walking tour takes you to the geothermal features and primeval forest growth for which Noboribetsu Onsen is famous for.

Itinerary

Meet at adex base 15 minutes before departure to check gear and clothes, and complete formalities.
Primeval forest trail
We walk up through the primeval forest that was designated a National Forest in 1924. (approx. 30 minutes)
Oyunuma viewpoint
From the forest we walk up the road to the Oyunuma viewpoint. (approx. 30 minutes)
Oyunuma pond
We walk down the hill towards Oyunuma pond and Okyunoyu to get close to the bubbling water. (approx. 30 minutes)

Return to adex base and disperse. (approx. 30 minutes)

What do I need to bring?
This is an active winter experience, so you should dress in thermal layers that are easily removed. A hat and gloves, wind and waterproof jacket and pants are highly desirable. High-sided boots such as walking boots are needed to wear the snowshoes. Sunglasses and sunscreen for sunny days. Dress to suit temperatures to -10C.

This is a moderate introductory activity for children from school age to adults of all ages. The course is about 2 kilometers with some uphill and downhill in different depths of snow. Please be advised that this experience may be cancelled due to bad weather. If this happens, all booking fees will be refunded. We have 6 pairs of Men's snowshoes (Japan shoe size 25.5 cm - 30.5 cm) ,4 pairs of Women's snowshoes (Japan shoe size 22 cm - 27 cm) and 4 pairs of Kid's snowshoes.

Cancellation Policy
If the tour is canceled due to bad weather on the day (heavy rain, strong winds, typhoons, heavy snow, etc.), we will refund 50% of the published price of the activity tour.
We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 1 day or less before the event. 70% if booking is cancelled 2 days, 50% if booking is cancelled 7 days and10% if booking is cancelled 14 days or less before the event.
